This statement covers this website. The SmartBasket Android app has its own privacy statement, because it processes different data.

In short

This website sets no cookies, loads no fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers, and uses no analytics and no tracking. There is no form hosted on this website, no account and no newsletter. Apart from the technically necessary server logs, this website does not collect your personal details.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, your browser automatically transmits data that is written to log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of the request
• the address requested and the amount of data transferred
• browser type and operating system
• where applicable, the previously visited page

This processing is technically necessary to deliver the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the site. This data is not combined with other sources.

A data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider. Processing on servers outside the European Union cannot be ruled out. Log data is deleted after one year.

Speech input in the planning demo

The planning demo offers to take your wishes as speech instead of text. Turning speech into text is done by your browser's own speech recognition, not by this website:

• Chrome and other Chromium browsers send the recording to Google servers for recognition.
• Safari sends it to Apple servers.

That processing is governed by the respective provider's privacy policy. No audio reaches SmartBasket. The recognised text is evaluated in your browser only, never leaves it and is not stored.

Recording starts only after you press the button and your browser has asked for permission. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time by not using the feature or by revoking the microphone permission in your browser. You can type your wishes instead — nothing is sent to any third party that way.

App testing registration and external links

If you choose to register to test the app, a link takes you to a Google Form. Google processes data when you open and submit that external form under its own privacy terms. The information you submit is received by SmartBasket to manage your interest in app testing and contact you about it. This contact is based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent or request deletion by contacting the controller above. The form does not load on this website.

This website also links to the project on GitHub. Data is transmitted to GitHub Inc. only when you follow that link; their privacy policy then applies.

Your rights

You have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Please write to the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

This statement is updated when the website changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
